Before any strategies were built and flashy photoshoots booked, we needed to identify which market segment we were going to target based on their gift giving habits and how our target consumer shopped. For this, we ran a proper diagnosis of the market through qualitative and quantitative research which helped us identified what type of buyers we would target, based on their behaviours (online or offline shoppers vs time spent searching for a gift). Being an online only business, online gift givers was top of the list. Through the content created and campaigns setup, we were able to target (and retarget) those who would most likely be interested in the product and therefore had a higher chance of converting. We made sure we were everywhere. Searching for a corporate Christmas gift? You’d find us on Google. Thinking about what Wedding favour would impress your guests? You’d probably see a lead generating ad on social media. And if you had subscribed to our newsletter, you’d be getting those email reminders to shop for same day delivery.
